This item is made for short people (5'4") like me. Like the name states "assist step". It helps me get in and out of my truck with ease. The installation took awhile tryibg t o figure out how to secure to.vehicle. Got my drill out and align the steps to the vehicle and notice the bracket were in line with those plastic plugs. After I notice those plugs, installation was a breeze. Loved it.
