The Equinox Remote Start Upgrade package from Chevrolet helps make the interior of your vehicle comfortable before driving. This Genuine Chevrolet Accessories Remote Start Upgrade package helps to pre-warm or cool the cabin by pressing a button on the key fob (transmitter). This Equinox remote start upgrade seamlessly integrates with the vehicle anti-theft and remote keyless entry systems. Smart engineering enables the vehicle engine to start but does not enable the use of the transmission shifter or the accelerator pedal. Additionally, engineered safety only allows the vehicle to run for 15 minutes or a maximum 30 minutes with two remote starts (see Owner's Manual, https://www.chevrolet.com/support/vehicle/manuals-guides). This Genuine Chevrolet Accessories kit includes two (2) new key fobs and instruction sheet with programming authorization code for dealership. This product requires Dealership programming to enable the remote start feature and activate the new remotes, not included in price. New hidden keys are not required as existing keys are repurposed in new fobs with remote start button.
